CMON The Golisano Children’s Museum in Naples FL

CMON - The Golisano Children's MuseumLooking for something fun to do with the little ones?  If so, you will want to visit CMON the 30,000 square foot Golisano Children’s Museum in North Naples.  Shaped like a colorful ship with a Naples Trolley as its center piece, it is the first museum in SW Florida devoted exclusive to children.  Set in a park like environment the museum features both indoor and outdoor fun activities and learning experiences.

Ideal for children under ten, there are twelve hands on exhibit galleries where the young ones can have fun learning though play while taking a journey on a boardwalk through the swamps of the Everglades, weaving their way through a maze, climbing a two-story banyan tree or experiencing life in an igloo.  They can learn how to be a weather forecaster, a farmer, a fisherman, an artist, an architect, a veterinarian and even how colorful rainbows are created.

Throughout the day there are special activities to encourage them to get involved and try something new and different, all the while learning.

CMON museum programs will include community festivals, summer camps, after-school programs, art classes, field trips, outreach programs, parenting workshops, and more.

The Golisano Children’s Museum was developed by experts in child psychology and museum master planning.  It was designed to foster creativity and curiosity and allows children to develop the social skills needed to cooperate with others while sharpening their senses, motor skills and problem solving techniques.  All the facilities are designed to be safe and fully accessible to all children regardless of any physical or learning abilities.

The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday with a $10 admission for visitors over the age of one, however adults must be accompanied by at least one child!  There are also a variety of family memberships available.

The Golisano Children’s Museum is located just off of Livingston between Immokalee and Vanderbilt Road in the North Collier Regional Park
