Constructed in the style of a Southern plantation, each of the nines has a different character. The Savannah Course is the most wide open, with large, flat greens. The Sable Course features a risk-reward design, with a proliferation of sand bunkers and well-undulated greens. The newest course is The Preserve, and as its name suggests, it was carved out of a heavily wooded area. An abundance of trees, and tight landing areas encourage target-style golf. The signature hole is #5 on The Sable, a 259-yard, par 3. The large green, protected by water on three sides and sand bunkers to the left, demands accuracy off the tee. Several inter-connected, man-made lakes winding through the layout add a pleasing aesthetic.
